Thank you to the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce for displaying my “Celebrate Mineral Point” exhibition all summer (2015). It was an honor to capture the heart of this wonderful town. Mineral Point will always be a special place for me.
I first visited Mineral Point, Wisconsin in July 2013 and fell in love with this town. I was so impressed with the iconic, small-town Americana feel and vowed to return the following year to capture the entire day of their Independence Day celebration. For an entire year, I thought about this shoot and what story I wanted to tell with it. I didn’t want it to be just a chronological collection of pictures; instead I wanted to tell a story. I wanted to capture the heart of this wonderful small town. With the help of Will Archer of Will Archer Photography, we have created this exhibition to tell the people of Mineral Point of the connection we have with them. You have touched our very souls.
Thanks to Dan and Kathy Vaillancourt of the The Walker House who have opened up their gallery for this exhibition starting January 24, 2015.
